“Implementation of the Statutory Audit Regulation in the European Union: The Experience of Slovenia” - representatives of SARAS attended the webinar organized by CFRR

On June 8-10, within the frames of the STAREP project, the World Bank’s Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) organized a 3-day international webinar on: “Implementation of the Statutory Audit Regulation in the European Union: The Experience of Slovenia”. 

The event is the part of CFRR webinar series. The objective of this series of webinars is to enhance participants’ knowledge about public oversight and audit quality assurance systems. 

At the event moderated by representatives of CFRR, representatives of the Agency for Public Oversight of Auditing (APOA) from Slovenia delivered speeches. During the 3-day webinars, the speakers overviewed the issues such as the role of the APOA, registration of auditors, continuing professional education, quality assurance inspections’ regulations and methods, enforcement mechanisms and cooperation with other oversight bodies. 

The event convened not only representatives of STAREP project member countries but also representatives of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan and Serbia. At the end of each session, the audience was allowed to ask questions. Slovenian colleagues exhaustively answered their questions.
